This week Kersten invited me as a guest on the Camera Shake Podcast!

Kersten and I have been talking online for a while but it wasn't until The Photography Show at the NEC, Birmingham, that we finally met and agreed a date in the diary to record a podcast!
It was great to catch up again and have a chat about all things photography - including about our creepy heads (you’ll have to listen/watch to find out more!) We’ve planned a follow up podcast about this too - so you’ll have to get up to speed by tuning in.
Although this chat included bits and bobs about photography, Kersten asked me a lot of personal questions about my M.E in this podcast, which I answered as honest and openly as I could, in the hope it might help others who are living in a similar situation. It’s not easy to be so open and vulnerable, especially as a few years ago, I was a different person, living in a different body, with different life goals.
My good days are far and few in-between, crashes can be absolutely debilitating and i’ve had new symptoms appear, which have caused even more chaos! But, for better or for worse, I decided that I wanted to speak out about my journey, rather than keep it hidden, because I don’t want anyone in this industry (or in general) to feel alone.
I have had some wonderful messages and I know I said it in my previous blog, but I want to thank everyone again, who attended my talk at the Photography Show and to those who have reached out personally since, to share their story with me. It has made every bad day worth while and given me warmth knowing that I too, am not alone in this fight!
I hope you enjoy the podcast! I’d love to have any feedback! Here’s the link to watch on Youtube:
If you are living with chronic illness and want to ask me any questions or anything you’d like me to speak more about, or if you’d like to share your story, please do email me. I would love to hear from you!
